Tonight's plan will be to do a parachute jump, steal a plane and then make some money by robbing people at cash points and hijacking security vehicles, then I can buy/ sell some shares to make even more money. Cheep shares for sale at Lifeinvader if you've completed that mission. ๐Ÿ˜€

The map is bigger, the whole world is FAR more detailed and drawn beautifully, perspective is properly done rathe than faked, but the real difference is in the gameplay and the story. It's on another level.

However if you feel like playing SA, then do it! No reason not to. SA is a great game, don't waste it.

Wife - Can we go bed shopping at lunch time?
Me - Only if I can get GTA V on the way.
Wife - Go on then.

Result!

You can go up really high in the plane. I may go for max altitude then jump out, see how long I can parachute for.

I did the BASE jump off the skyscraper tower crane again now I've worked out parachute controls and managed to land on the roof of the sports stadium and get inside (and couldn't then find a way out)
Not certain but I think the weather / wind might affect your parachute I seemed to get much further second time than first time
If that is the case it incredible attention to detail by Rockstar

To answer previous question parachutes appear on your back when you jump off something (assume you have collected one), press x (on ps3) to open, left right steers push down to slow down your descent

I wouldn't recommend it.

Yeah I am enjoying San Andreas, the graphics are definitely hugely dated. I also think it really wasn't designed for a 42 inch tele, it can barely keep up with the frame rate. Cars more than 5 metres in front of me just keep disappearing and reappearing. It is possibly partly to do with the knackered xbox as well as the game.

I like tennis, but I have a controller issue, if I've been playing for a while it keeps quitting me out of the game. Had same issue when casing a building on a mission, the "right" button on the D pad puts a pair of glasses on and the bl00dy things kept putting themselves on. Think it's my controller rather than the game, might be temperature related - starts off fine but gets worse over time.

All three characters unlocked now. They're all awesome but I'm loving Trevor. His first few missions are insanely good fun.

San Andreas also had weird perspective tricks to make the world look bigger when in fact it wasn't, some sort of wide angle effect perhaps. Looked ok in static shots, things look distant, but they don't take very long to get to when travelling or falling down a mountain or something. The trees look normal sized from a distance but are enormous close up.

GTAV does not have that, at least not so much.

You can have my copy when I'm done. Be about the middle of 2014, as I have only done the intro mission, and am still just driving round getting haircuts ๐Ÿ˜€

Go for the full beard on Michael. Best beard I've seen in a video game.

Tesco just came up trumps for me as well. Although worryingly a chap in front of me at customer service was returning his PS3 disc as it kept giving him an error code. Anyone else had similar?

Same here, looks great with a suit and aviators.

Probably misguided but spent most of his cash on the haircut and paint jobs on a car ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Christ, if that happens to me tonight I will be getting the kids out of bed and carting them to Tesco to get it sorted.

Was reading earlier that a good way of making money is that when you hear or see the police, you follow them and if it's a burglary then follow the thief and steel his loot.

I think I've got the British version of the game; I haven't even seen a copper yet let alone had a shoot out with one!

Anyone bothered doing any of the car towing missions? Do they get interesting? Or do you just need the money later on?

I've done about 4 towing missions now. I suspect they end up leading somewhere more interesting but right now they're just dull, and you get nothing for them.

And the cops are all over me constantly. I don't know what you're doing but all I have to do is jump a red light and I've got a helicoptor shooting at me.

I've done 2 towing missions and they've both been dull. I thought the second one was going to turn interesting when the owner of a car parked in a disabled space came out of the restaurant and started shouting the odds, but he was all mouth and I was able to just drive off.

The cops don't seem to care about red light jumping if you're on a bike. ๐Ÿ˜†

The third towing mission is a guy who has parked on a crossing with a train coming.

I got him off in time.

I always seem to miss the entrance to the tow yard and forget that you cant really reverse with a car attached to the truck. No one seems to mind the wee bit of damage so far ๐Ÿ˜€

This game misses a casino, would of been a great way to make cash or rob.

I've not had to pay any yet.

I've also noticed that although you put on a helmet when getting on a motorbike cyclists have absolutely ho head protection. Have they not seen the statistics!

If you barge into him from behind, he'll probably go off immediately.

I must say I quite enjoy the suburban drug dealer feeling of cruising around in the Range Rover (the one that's halfway between an Evoque and a Sport). The Tesla's good too though.
