FT-ATB - Mrs Binners works for a large charity that deals with kids in the less salubrious and more challenging areas of the north west. At the end of each day the local Greggs comes and delivers all the unsold food from the day so the kids have all got lunch the next day. They don't make a big song and dance about it. They just do it. Every single day. And have been doing for years

Yeah our local Gregg’s give away food to local clubs around here and also to emergency services.
I doubt Stomzy will actually use it that much but the promotion does them good.
I would also like to add that the fact that large amounts of free Greggs is delivered to my darling wife's place of work every day in no way influenced her decision to work there and she came under no undue pressure from me 😉

I am surprised nobody has complained that they are promoting/targeting certain sector of the community ... you know the ones that always go for KFC/McDonald.

Our local Greggs sells off a lot of the food plus a hot drink for £1 in the last hour of business. The idea being for people to buy this for the homeless in a city centre.
As above, they don’t make a song and dance about it, which is always impressive in today’s awful social media era.

Thing is, I knew the Greggs daughters many many years ago. Nice normal kids.
Back in Newcastle in the 70s and 80s Greggs had an “outlet shop” for ‘seconds’ on the West Road in Fenham. Tough area Fenham back then. But Greggs ahead of the time being generous and philanthropic to be selling mis-shaped stotties and pasties at a fraction of RRP.
There were always queues down the street when my bus passed on the way to school.
