My go to would be the Marble Arch but it seems that they are closed on Tuesdays.
Need to feed 6 people tonight!
Preference would be pub food, I have absolutely no idea where else to try! Can anybody local point me in the right direction.
Must be central, no interest in places like Didsbury, or curry.
Thanks
I've been meaning to try the grub at one of my favourite Mcr boozers, the Edinburgh Castle - heard great things about it but I've always stuck to the liquids and eaten in Rudy's across the way.

Mackie Mayor is a similar kind of thing, closer to Northern Quarter

There is a frequent user on here who may well suggest Greggs.
Any thoughts on the Old Wellington?
Not eaten there, but it's half decent. Cheap beers in Sinclairs Oyster Bar next door !
Worse case, you have all the eateries round the corner at the Corn Exchange !
A lot of history to The Old Wellington and Sinclairs - they were both put on stilts and moved in the early 1970's.
The Black Friar - might be a bit far out though...

Thanks all, will give the Black Friar a go!
For anyone else looking I can confirm that the Black Friar is well worth a visit!
Spot on - glad you enjoyed it! Still not managed to make it there myself but sometimes work nearby and friends have recommended. It's on the 'need to go' list.
+1 For The Black Friar, we have our work dos there and the food is always good and plentiful, the sit down meals looked even better
