Loving the cart racing on GT5 too, thats a game in itself!
GT5 is very good, I get bored of driving games normally but the variety and realism of GT5 is excellent. I even bought a Steering Wheel and pedals which made a massive difference.
Not been on for about a week due to work and kids but can't wait to get back on.
I bought a Golf GTi Mk V and been devastating the amateur challenges with that, busy with the Cat B lience at the moment.
anyone tell me how to get past licence A-10 High speed ring battle?, I cant even get bronze!!. I know its all in the slip streaming, but its so damn difficult!!!

One is an xmas present from my wife, the other is an xmas present to myself - you have to be fair about these things.
Been nailing GT5 for a week now, got past that drafting chalenge but its tough, the VW camper van one around the top gear test track is grim as well.
Wait till you get to international B license, the last test is a classic supercar challenge, your in a Ferrari 412 and some TW4T in a white Contach will not let you pass. I had to get my 15 year old lad topass that test for me !!

I haven't been that impressed with GT yet, load times are way too long, menu system isn't very good and it doesnt look very good on a CRT.
First day I got it, I did most of the licenses in a couple of hours, damn load times! 2 minutes to load then play for 10-30 seconds then have to wait another 2 minutes! That is damn annoying!
GT Vs NFSU - My verdict is they are two completely different games, its like saying land rover or mondeo, both are reasonable but completely different.
what about modnation
Are those 2 min load times because you chose not to install the game, or are those the loads despite installing it?
Milkie, you need to downloaded the 8GB thing, that sorts wait time and sometimes the choppy picture you may get.
S, toptip, NEVER use your brake in the camper, just back off the accelerator . Been online a few times, quite good, upto 16 players
GT TV is OK as well, in HD.

tbh even when you've installed it, the load times are still painful (though 2 mins sounds a bit excessive). Overall, GT5 seems ok, but it's clear that Polyphonic have simply spent the past 5 years obsessing over the body panel alignment of 200 new cars and very little else.
I bought a new HD for PS3 the other day and load times are great. 500GB of storage too suck on the Xbox boys.
Looks great in HD the weather effects and dust effects are cracking.
guys guys guys, I've downloaded the whole 8.6 gb. Its still terrible load times! It probably is the same as NFS games, but they don't have licenses where it takes you 10-30 seconds to complete, then have to wait a good couple of minutes for the next.
Drac, I think it is time for a new HD, 80gb is pretty full, a little noisey and now way too small!

Very easy to swap over too, tricky bit was selecting which data to keep.
Getting Bronze is fairly easy, simply draft the blue car from the start and slingshot past it and the other car on the straight. IIRC to get gold I had to draft the red car really close so we both shot past everyone and then pass it just before the finish line.anyone tell me how to get past licence A-10 High speed ring battle?, I cant even get bronze!!. I only managed 2nd on the top Gear VW camper race the other campers always brake on the second last corner and I kept hitting one trying to pass the last one ending in a DQ.
Drac - What steering wheel did you get for it?

Makes a massive difference a lot easy to feather the accelerator and steering very accurate, it's great set.

2 minute delays are probably due to problems with the servers. There is a news thingy in the top right of the menu screen which tells you about this. Disconnect from the internet to bodge it for now.
I have a similar wheel to Drac and it really makes the difference. Only problem is trying to get the wheel/pedals/telly in a good position. GW, you may get to borrow it if i go back to COD.
