It's a national phenomenon. We sometimes go on night rides to check out the 'best' illuminations.

Never take them down. Having said that, it's a simple string of white, non-flashing LED's, around my front windows that just get plugged in at Christmas. Except for the kitchen, where I've had a string of white LED's for several years. They're perfect at night as they give enough to see by without switching main lights on, especially coming home late at night. Dead cheap Wilco ones, couldn't do without them now.

Haven't got any but love the houses that do. I'll definitely do it one year.

Never understand the snobbishness some people have about them.

Yep we have a couple of subtle strings up inside and out. Nice to see Peter Jackson has upgraded his to monster LED ones on his 80foot norfolk pine - makes for a lovely view from our lounge window !
