Ive got an interview :), anyone work/live at or around the Highlands in healthcare ? Any info is good info, especially since it will be my first job qualified(nursing).
Info on possible interview questions GREATLY appreciated !
Mrs Druidh trained there but that was a few years ago. 😆
Inverness is a great fun place...I'm sure you''ll enjoy it.
"what is your understanding of diversity and equality?" has come up in every NHS interview I've ever sat.
I lived in Inverness for a couple of years, and my wife was a Dr at Raigmore.
She certainly had no complaints about Raigmore as a hospital - good teaching and generally good atmosphere amongst staff.
Inverness is a great place to live - we decided that we had to move overseas as everywhere else in the UK felt like a bit of a downgrade. Incredible access to hills for whatever floats your boat, and a general feeling that 'life' should play a big part in the work/life balance.
I lived right next to Craig Padraig forest, which has some ace trails (albeit a bit 'weathery') and there's a fair bit to ride in Culloden too. And the Cairngorms are less than an hour away.
The road biking in Strathnairn is incredible too.
Its a blinder of a place to live/work, competition will be high right now but if you get the job its probably the best place in Britain for the outdoor life.
Its always struck me as a nice wee hospital when I've been there- good luck!
I went to Inverness for new year a few years ago. IT WAS ****ING COLD!!!!!!!!
Great place to live as its where I'm from, even though I no longer live there now. I always found the hospital to be great whenever I was there, my mate who's visiting me at the moment didn't have a good experience though, he's in the middle of suing the NHS over something that happened there.
Martinxyz would no doubt show you some good spots around to ride if you email him.
Good luck
