When I have a cold & a cough why do I want to eat rubbish food?

Normally I'm a fairly healty eater but as soon as I feel a bit under the weather I want chocolate, crisps & fizzy drinks.

Is this normal?

I'm currently giving in to temptation and telling myself that it's my body telling me to eat things that will make me better sooner. 8)

Yup I'm the same - had a virus for at least a week now and been eating loads of crap. I don't seem to have put on any weight though, despite barely leaving the house in that time. ๐Ÿ˜•

I'm having a quiet day in the office whilst investigating the medicinal effects of strong tea and a Drifter (wanted a Double Decker but there weren't any the office chocolate box). Seems to be helping a bit

Get yourself some Echinacea, stick a few drops in some fresh orange juice every morning and it will be gone in no time!

Starve a fever, feed a cold - apparently. I just feed all the time to be on the safe side....

IIRC large amounts of sugar stresses the immune system, as does large meals. Small, often, and healthy, would probably be a wiser choice.
