Okay coolio. I just wanted to make DezB's dream come true.

I'm over it anyway, still riding the euphoria of getting ID'd for the first time since I turned 31. Not much could dent the Awesomeness I'm feeling from that!

So Elfin... you coming along? I had to invite myself so you might as well too...

Ah my dream....

The night before is my works Xmas party, so I might be a bit worse for wear.. Hopefully the wife will drive so we won't stay overnight, otherwise I wouldn't be able to make it!

Cool, last but one chance to ride before I have to go on a two week business trip. Back just in time for Crimbo hopefully.

A mate of mine bought two, yes, two, football manager style sheepskin jackets for fifteen pounds from the charity shop in Watney Market. He was well pleased.

He thought he looked cool, but we just thought he looked like Big Racist Ron.

I might well come along to this. I'll see if Ollie wants to come too, then I might get a lift....

Is there seriously nowt worth watching on telly tonight?

Nah, that was Ken. Silly arse. He once woke up next to a rotting cuttlefish, when on Acid.

Spurs fan, in't he.

sorry guys, didnt see the other replies...

umm yeah meet around 11:40 for 12o-clock start..

elfin and pete, of course you're welcome to come ๐Ÿ™‚ its going to be an open invite i just haven't done a proper thread about it (going to wait until sunday coming i think)

jsut a quick note to say that jsut 'cos i've initiated this madness doesnt mean i'll be leading the way! i was thinking as yeti has proved his endurance by doing that afan monster malarkey we set him off early, then using hunting dogs we follow them to chase him down.

any objections?!

None at all... except... I've only been to Swinely once before so really not a good person to lead anything.

still... i'll bring the hunting dogs for a chuckle anyway.

on that note though... anybody know swinley well enough to maybe help suggest/point where to go next?

i've only been riding a bike for less than 6 months so it really hasnt been enough time to learn swinley properly, we tend to ride a similar route each time and pick out the odd bit if singletrack... but when i went out with the MTB Britain chaps they did a good 20k loop that linked singletrack up the whole way with nothing too technical ๐Ÿ™‚ was mighty impressive and only really used fireroads to hop into the next bit of singletrack or to stop and breath/chat/eat on.

i'm all up for collecting phone numbers, organising times, dress-codes, and punishments for lack of tweed and such but leading the way might leave the people who know the palce better a bit disappointed

You're bringing dogs? Hmm... I could do too, long as the group isn't too big.

not really bringing dogs... ๐Ÿ™

but have a look at the rough group size when a proper thread is started about it on the weekend and see if you think it'll be too big... i personally would welcome doggies ๐Ÿ˜€

might have to remember to mention its a possibility when constructing the thread as if anyones not a dog fan then its up to them to make a point of letting it be known early.. sound good?

also, note to everyone... i'm completely open to either sat or sunday, so start registering your preferences now ๐Ÿ™‚

Don't worry old chap, I know Swinley like the back of me hand.

I will be sure to show you the death bowl, the alligator drop, the tank run, the Golden Retriever and best of all, the white knuckle waterfall... underwater mtb'ing at its best. All connected up by brief trips in helicopter ambulances. It is going to be truly awesome.

Sunday would be grand.

And dogs would probably be a bad idea unless you have a truly well beheaved trail hound. I wouldn't bring mine as the first sniff of a Sika deer and he will be orf and I wouldn't expect everyone to wait while I beetle off into the undergrowth to find my errant hound.

I've just been doing some research and those aren't tassels on that jacket. They're a fringe. The American's do some mighty fine fringed suede jackets but delivery times are too long. Sorry Dez, I'll do my best to find one... 8)

My dog is a fantastic trailhound!*

*not a very good car traveller though, so don't worry Pete, she won't be coming to Swinley

you've upset her though

Like I am bothered by a dog.

I will bring two hip flasks as compensation.

One with Hennessy XO and one with The Dalmore 12 Year Old.

OK?

wtb prowler and wtb stout ๐Ÿ˜€ both 2.3 folding.

im amazed by the beauties, riding straight into the deep mud and puddles all the time and great traction on anything uphill ๐Ÿ˜€

not that it was a serious question im guessing, but i've been waiting for a chance to mention my tyres for weeks haha

EDIT - whisky... this ride is going to be fantastic... just need some of the smokers from the "funny smelling cigarettes" to come along and we've got ourselves a party!

whats that? phils having a sexy party?

time for a tapestry.. where's pook?!

There's been some worrying developments at chez Yeti and there's talk of me getting Yeti nabbed at 6am Saturday morning and taken to North Wales... any chance we can all meet at Coed Y Brenin?

Who are these sexy people you are referring to?

Exactly what sort of a ride is this going to be? (Apart from mandatory suede jackets, for the blokes it would appear). ๐Ÿ˜‰
