Think I've 'got something' in my computer...avast has blocked it but I can't seem to get it to remove it...what's a good free program to rootle it out please?

malwarebytes was the one recommend to me

malwarebytes, superantispyware and spybot search and destroy are the 3 i use at work. yes, all 3. you often find that individually they don't find/remove every single possible threat/infection.

I had same problem with Avast and malwarebytes sorted it.

malwarebytes and superantispyware found over 400 'bad' things.
this means I can now login in to hotmail, and check my bank account...was being sent to bogus sites, HSBC were asking for all of my security number which was a bit of a give away!

thanks for your help, seems to have sorted the problem, for now anyway!
