Im trying to sort a friend's laptop, and it looks like she's managed to get it infected with 'System Security 4.52'

Any good, free, anti-spyware around that will zap it?

Stuff I have used for last 2 or 3 years on our computers (windows based) - 3 laptops + 2 pc's with no problems + no cost.

Antivirus = Avast Home Edition

Firewall = Comodo Firewall

Anti Spyware = Windows Defender

Cleaning up + stuff = CCleaner

Just make sure they are allowed to auto update.

Good info on this link on how it got on the computer and free removal.

It was the first google hit.

I've never used it though so can't vouch for it.
