Load of steam punk silliness, new model army, and the neph all coming up soon. Really fancy the gaye bikes on acid shenanigans as well

Saw them a couple of weeks ago. Phenomenal band. You know they're going to start very quiet and end very loud yet the dynamic control is superhuman.

I aim to buy a whole bunch of other tickets this evening so I'll add an update once I do that.

Right, so the updated list is now:

Chuck Mosley
The Computers
Suzanne Vega
Bob Mould
Daughter
PJ Harvey
Wilco
The Heavy
Frank Turner

Though I already had the Wilco and Frank Turner tickets sorted (as well as the Chuck Mosley and The Computers ones I mentioned earlier) so I only bought tickets for 5 gigs this evening.

Black Rose Ball in York this weekend. Bands on the Friday, I wasn't too fussed for them but t'other half insisted.

Warhorns Festival in Selby on the 16th, all sorts of Viking Metal with logos that look like someone threw a bunch of twigs at random.

Airbourne in Leeds later in the year.

Half thinking of Blackstar Riders next year but seen them a few times now so might give them a miss this time round.

Quite a few it would appear.
Goat
Wilco
Teenage Fanclub
Julia Holter
Christine And The Queens
Regina Spektor
Heidi Talbot
Billy Bragg & Joe Henry (last time I saw Joe Henry, in London, Billy Bragg stood next to us in the bar so he's obviously a fan)
Transatlantic Sessions (twice for complicated reasons)
Plus toying with going to see Kristin Hersh but that would make 3 gigs in 3 nights and lose me quite a lot of brownie points
And I see from other posts that The Triffids are playing London which I had missed, so need to see if I can fit that in.

Saw The Jayhawks in Leeds on Friday. Slightly disappointed to be honest. However Ethan Johns is supporting and was excellent (and started with a cover of Gillian Welch's The Revelator).

Obituary.

Would like to see the pixies, but they're playing the barras. Smallish venue when they could easily outsell the hydro. So tickets = gold dust!

Might try to see dinosaur Jr.

My lordy - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (oh yes) were incredible last night - but mainly for it being the HOTTEST, SWEATIEST gig I have ever been to. Da yoof were going absolutely mental. The walls of the Concorde 2 were literally dripping.
Met the love of my life (don't tell her will you!) too. Fiona *sigh*. ๐Ÿ˜†

Honne, Gorilla Manchester in October. Could do with a few more but moneys a bit tight and thankfully I have a strong aversion to big sheds with big ticket prices.
