I've stayed at this place for ages on work, and I'd love to give them something when I go. A lot of them are girls which would suggest some flowers or something but it's a nice hotel so there are nice bouquets all over the place.

I suppose it should just be a card instead..?

Last week I gave a bunch of girls on a helpdesk a great big box of Cadbury Cream Eggs as a thank you for helping me with a project

they went down well

Maybe a big box of fancy biscuits etc?

not trying to be funny but cash might be a good choice - they're probably on fairly low pay.

Lasso a leather belt over the light fitting, leave a few oranges lying about with some bite marks in and some rolls of half used selathane.

Will give them a laugh if nothing else!

Nice idea though.

Possibly a case of half-bottles of vodka.
They'd like that.

good spot there by theflatboy ๐Ÿ˜†

like wwaswas says, a nice tip would go down well- they're almost certainly on minimum wage. And a card, of course.

Lol!

I always tip anyway.

There's quite a lot of people working there, I don't thin I can afford to give them enough money to make a difference to their lives!

I guess it's chocolates/edible treats.. that's the usual workplace gift I suppose.

I bought a box of chocolates for the regular girls on the desk of the hotel I used to use often when I changed my working routine.

What DID Partridge buy for the girl on reception when he left? My mind is blank - was it a commemorative plate or something?

The plate was from when he took his own large one to the buffet so he could fit more on....

He had a party for them and gave them a gift bag each with a few sweets think.

Most hotels don't share the tips, if you give them sweets most of the time they're put on reception for the guests, pick the staff that have helped, chamber maids, porter and so on, bar men always get looked after.
