I reckon Murray is the Grandad and the kid is offspring from Bill and Sigourney.

I’m so old that I remember when films were called films...(wibble) and this film looks like it could be fun. One way to spoil it would be to spend the next six months discussing it online in a binary left vs right black vs white male vs female kind of way. It’s a kid’s film. We never did that about the Doubledeckers or Herbie IIRC.
Anyway, back to the film. They've got be be Spenglers grandkids surely, possibly Ray Stantz's, but Spengler would be the one who kept the kit after there were no more ghosts to bust. It would also be a nice way for keeping the character in the story without Harold Ramis.
Hopefully Bill, Dan and Ernie get a reasonable look in for us old folks but I want my kids to love this as much as I did of the first movie. Ghostbusters meets the Goonies looks fantastic.

Of course the Actor has sadly passed so makes sense it would be Egon that's died too.

Will there be any steaming femme fatales, with terror dogs on standby? Those scenes messed my young mind up. I remember being angered when it was apparent that Gozer was the corrupting bad-daddy-pimpmeister, and that he made her ‘bad’ and I wanted her to be ‘good’. But not be too good. Bad-good. Or good-bad? Which was weird because I was a 16 yr old kid and she was 20 years older than me, not to mention a famous actress. Not to mention that Gozer was neither male nor female, or that it was just a film. Hormones mkeh 🤪
Hang on, this could be Tremors 7, unexplained vibrations below ground. My god this film gets better every time I watch the ad. Though the farm house looks very walking dead, watch out for zombies in that barn!

Uh huh, so a Hollywood studio isn’t exploiting your fond memories of a well loved film so they don’t really have to come up with any new ideas, and consequently save a bunch of time and money on anything approaching a script. They’ll just stuff the film full of “easter eggs” to get the nerds on You tube endlessly spaffing (sly political satire shoehorned in) over carefully released trailers that will ultimately end up in a joyless and most likely plotless marketing exercise produced in a blue screen warehouse in order to ruthlessly push merchandising…
Of course they are but its being sold as exactly that isnt it?. It might be an enjoyable couple of hours. Plenty of new original films / scripts out there as well as this.

Murray is listed in the cast, possibly to make up for appearing in the 2016 effort

I was a bit young to register the full effect of Dana in her shiny dress until years later.
