I try hard not to care too much about other people's bell-endery but I'll try to do as many of the things that piss off the list-makers on this thread as I can. Especially the ones that effect Cougar.

What starts with "come here" and ends with "ouch"?

Play with phones when you're trying to talk to them.
...
Call themselves vegetarians but still eat fish.

1) Be more interesting.

2) Not that many people are familiar with the term "pescetarian".

You know, it's not the 'there's a light mist, quick, put the fog lights on for the next two days' effect that captivates my caprine, but the same people who will then drive in torrential rain with visibility of about a foot and -not- put them on.

That would be because they will simply increase glare for both the driver and oncoming traffic. They are called fog lights for a reason....

People in restaurants who point at your food and make faces.
People in train stations/underground dragging minuscule suitcases on wheels.
People that find anything to do as they enter a pub to avoid going to the bar first.
Chuggers.
People who turn up at the dying moments of any uni house party with a guitar and start a 'wonderwall' singalong.
Chuggers with dreadlocks and/or comedy hats.

People who refer to them self in 3rd person or as a "lad"

Also RS will you kill me? I have never read a book since school, I'm not proud of it but i certainly don't regret not reading 1

Is bellendery only to be used negatively for piss boilers, or can it be used to describe someone who genuinely amuses me, those who want to look smart, but just completely **** it up?

The Highway Code states that they're for use 'when visibility is seriously reduced', it makes no distinction between fog and other causes. And you don't get much oncoming traffic on a motorway. As for headlight glare, I've found it to be a bigger problem in fog than in rain.

Personally, I'd take a bit of glare if it meant I could see other road users.

I resemble that comment, and it offends myself.

Worst....phrase.....ever.

Apart from drawing out a stupidly exaggerated phrase for no reason, such as that highlighted here.....

Say that they 'speak as they find' and somehow expect a prize for it.

I absolutely hate this attitude.

It's the same as saying "I'm going to be rude and upset someone, but I don't care, aren't I great?"

Thoughtless and inconsiderate people in general. People with inexplicably high opinions of themselves. Most people when they're behind the wheel of their car.

And +1 for the people who "don't suffer fools gladly". Usually seems to mean they like to dismiss people as fools if they don't like or understand what they have to say.

People who say "what" instead of "that", as in "It was him what did it". Equally, people who say "them" instead of "those".

Oh, sod it, "the lower class".

People what overuse "inverted" "commas"! Do you do it in "real life" with your "fingers"?
Oh, sod it, "the uneducated class".

Why does it upset?

Superiority.

Emsz, it just makes you sound like you watch endless repeats of 'Friends' and would prefer to be American.

And it's grammatically incorrect.

But really it just annoys boring old pedants like me ๐Ÿ˜€

And it's grammatically incorrect.

For who?
American grammar is different from British grammar and in no way can you say it's wrong.

Emsz, don't worry about it.

I know language evolves and changes.
Doesnt mean I have to like it though!

DS, I just don't like uneccessary Americanisation of the language as it's spoken over here.

'Get' and 'have' have two very different meanings.
If someone pops round and asks if they can 'get' a tea, when offered, they will be directed to the kitchen and told to help themselves.

People who mow their lawns at anytime before 10 on a weekend

People who drive Rovers

And I have to agree with people that say they "don't suffer fools" like some kind of public announcement. Cock off.

The overuse of the word "cock" on this forum - Do you really aspire to be James May?

Yeah, add that one: ANYONE who likes Top Gear for anything other than the cars.
