At one point when I was a trainee I had to do a job which involved sitting in the garage of a house belonging to one of the country's richest familys for an afternoon. At the time, I was in the top 20% or so of earners in the country. The garage I was in was considerably nicer and much larger than my flat (the bathroom in particular was very well fitted). That garage was not a patch on most of the garages in the thread above (although it is fair to say that the one I visited was not the main house of that particular family, but one that they had bought with some spare change because they quite liked it).

As a general point, while I support the right of people to spend their money as they see fit, I'm not quite comfortable with anyone choosing to have a garage that could easily accommodate several families in considerable comfort. ๐Ÿ™‚

They're not "really" garages though are they, they're just rooms that happen to have cars in them, which is not quite the same thing in my book.

There are no bikes in any of those pics. so they don't count as garages IMO. Cars have roofs so they can sit outside.

Most of them don't appear to have any:

1) Tools
2) Bicycles ๐Ÿ˜‰
3) Cars I actually like

money is utterly relative.

what some people wouldnt dream of ever making in 10 years, others spend in moment, as change.

sad, but true ๐Ÿ™

and it works the other way just as much.

what some of us would spend on a mech, would put a family of 5 through school for a year in some countries.

back on track. ive no asperations for a blinging garage for my grubby 206, however my shed, once its up, is going to be beaauuuutiful.
cant wait ๐Ÿ™‚

I too once had a garage with a [home-made] turntable

It - however - never saw a Ferrari ๐Ÿ™

I'm liking the idea of a turntable....

Could maybe put a repair stand in the middle of it.

Pfffft,

I'm happy enough with this:

My volvo can just sit outside. Sheds and garages are for bikes.

Those aren't garages in my book.

There is a complete absence of:
Tools (car or bike)
bikes
random assorted Cr@p
Spider corpses and webs

The one with the hydraulic lifts looked promising, as I thought you might be able to work on the car there, but I was rather disappointed to see it was just used to get an extra couple of "compensators" in.

EDIT: Tree magnet, that's more like it!
