Also surprised at the amount of people with a smart tv or ps3 ect who don't release you can play the film on your tv without any leads via imedia share ect.

Powered from the TV USB port (which provides power as the phone charges)
Maybe it's providing power, but not enough? Try an external charger.
The one I had was simply rubbish, it'd display a picture for a couple of seconds before crapping out. I sent it back in the end.
