Hi all

As part of the refurb of my house I am chasing various cables in to the brick/plaster wall for a wall mount TV.

In addition to the power socket I reckon 3 hdmi cables will be enough (I have sky HD box, media player and Xbox).

My mate reckons I need an ethernet cable in case I get a new smart tv but dont these have wireless?

I need some advice, what cables did you install?

Cheers

If you have the depth, put in a 2" trunking and a couple of draw wires

Defo put ethernet in. Wireless is somewhat over rated and you'd be daft not to chuck £5 worth of cable in.
I've just got a 4 port Netgear switch off ebay for £0.99. Now got the TV, Sky and AppleTV all connected to the router via ethernet/homeplug. Much better.

edit: many TV's have wireless as an option only. Wireless standards will change while cat45 will be around for a loooong time.

what Jota180 said - try and put a trunking in which can take future cables aswell..
