Got a "pig" 18 pints of Cocker hoop from Jennings brewery in cockermouth. Wasn't all drunk and seems a waste to pour away. Can I freeze it to cook with later, can't think why not but.....

Absolutely! I freeze wine in ice cube trays for stews etc.
