Is this still possible and if so where from?

The last time I did it was napster which shows how out the loop I am!

Impossible. Free downloadable = Illegal free downloadable.

You can use Spotify to listen to free music which is a programme. Or you could use a website called grooveshark.

no, there are some sites and artists that allow free downloads. Just not the mainstream ones

Yes but they are mostly Russian (questionable royalty issues) very cheap, some have a massive range of artists but not all credit card providers will work due to music industry pressure?

I'm not going to mention any on here as that would be naughty.
