You can use Spotify to listen to free music which is a programme. Or you could use a website called grooveshark.

Yes but they are mostly Russian (questionable royalty issues) very cheap, some have a massive range of artists but not all credit card providers will work due to music industry pressure?
I'm not going to mention any on here as that would be naughty.
Have a look on Soundcloud - some quite good things on there.
Is there a specific objection to paying an artist for their work?
