Can any footy fans out there answer this question:

If man city win the champs league and Liverpool win the Europa league do our top 4 in the premier league still qualify for next years champions league?

Thanks

No. Spurs missed out when they finished 4th and Chelase won the CL. In the scenario you mention not sure if we'd have top 3 plus 2 others or if its always capped at 4

THey capped it so the number of teams you have is the number of teams you have

I googled your question

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/04/15/why-liverpool-and-manchester-city-could-end-manchester-uniteds-c/

Comprehensive answer here

Short version 4 teams unless City win CL and finish outside the top 4 then it is 5. Both deffo in if they win the cup competition. Liverpool winning trumps league place [ which may be third if city win CL and finish 4 th]

Sometimes the internet can trump the hive mind.

Don't think that's correct. If Man City finish in the top four (Regardless of whether they win the CL or not) and Liverpool win the Europa then we'll have 5 teams in next year as well. Happened in Spain last year.

I reckon some managers acted like they didn't either. I realise there is hugely diminished prestige in winning it, but the financial reward for the club that does is big - even if they get knocked out after the league round. Qualification for the round of 16 means even more. IIRC ManU earned getting on for £30m+ and they only reached the QFs last year. That'll soon seem like small beans. Of course, ticket sales and any other commercial money "made" from a UCL run are all on top again.
