Bayern Munich before Liverpool Binners…..although they may take it easy, having already qualified.

Havertz really is an absolute bell end, isn’t he?

Villa beating Citeh and then Arsenal? Not a bad week for them.

Diego Carlos two elbows in a week:

and

and no red card for either?!

Villa Ultras David Cameron and Willy the Prince will be gloating tonight. Meanwhile 2 words that are stuck together nowadays: Reading lost.

Yes, I was at Villa Park for both games. Just phenomenal football. Nobody sat down in the Holte End at either game. Absolutely brilliant.

I still think we'll end 5th though. This level of energy, commitment and skill can't be maintained.

Can it?

You maybe need to can the Europa League, although Emery usually wins it! Avoid injuries - especially to Watkins - and you’ll be top four I think, maybe even push Liverpool, Arsenal and City for the league. Nice that the league is not a procession for a change, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see City win ten on the bounce and pull away.

Did anyone see the Onyeko tackle for Brentford against Sheff U.

Slow mo is at 1.03 here

How, after a VAR check, this was not deemed a red is shocking.   I can see how the on field ref may miss how bad it was, but for VAR to not upgrade it is laughable.  But, are we surprised.....

That was a cracking goal by McAtee, I may be in the minority here, but I love a goal curled into the top corner like that far more than an overhead kick which I feel depends on a bit too much on random luck.

Villa look really good. At least we made chances against them, whereas citeh had almost nothing. It's really wide open at the top. I think we will be challenging Villa to 4th/5th. I think Spurs will bounce back. I'll add Liverpool into the mix for the title. It'll be citeh or them.

You would imagine that they will start to suffer in comparison to teams with greater depth in their squads, but 5th would be a fantastic result.

No Haaland - stress fracture in his foot. 6-12 weeks according to R5 pundits.

Haaland - Big money for a proven striker then in the new year. Wonder if Lewandowski wants to have a go in the premier league.

With Luton’s ground being so tight, the TV mic’s are picking up everything

There’s some top notch sweary heckling going on 😂

To be honest if I lived in Luton I'd be very sweaty.

Pep’s doing a lot of bitching, but I can’t fathom what over. Nice bit of skill by Barclay and a cracking ball swung in from Townsend, who does seem to enjoy upsetting Citeh

Is it just me or are City something of a one man team? Seems like a daft thing to say given the players they have but take out Haaland or if he's not in form they don't seem to function.

I don’t think Haaland has missed many games since he signed. I’d imagine they’d play Alvarez centrally in his absence, maybe in a false 9 role, and go full tiki taki. Haaland has enabled them to mix it up and go a bit more direct.

It's Haaland who is a bit out of sorts by his standards. Or his supply chain. We need De Bruyne back.

United getting absolutely whooped by a team they should be comfortably beating?

Chelsea… ‘hold my beer…’

A few more performances of the same standard from them both and maybe Pochettino will finally end up at Old Trafford.

Newcastle are dead on their feet already.

Could be revenge for the 6-1 last season

If anyone wants an absolute banker of a bet then Romero to get carded is it. It was (inexplicably) 4/1 today so it’s just free money

He’s lucky to still be on the pitch. Lots of refs would have given that as a straight red

it's such an unforgiving league, just 1/2 a yard off the pace and Spurs are tearing them a new arse.

@bungle- abso-bloody-lutely I would!

He’s a great player. it’s one of the many things we’re lacking. Having someone who’ll rattle a few solid challenges in would be nice, but since Martinez has been out injured that’s been sadly lacking. The defenders we’ve got just back off attackers

Always curious at the number of people who spend far too much time hoping for the toon to do badly. I could understand it if they were mackems or were dominating the league like Man U or City have done but for a club that hasn't won anything for more than 50 years and are perennial underachievers it seems to attract a disproportionate number of haters.

Deadlydarcy usually shows up when Man U get beat, but he also has a dislike for clubs backed by dictatorships. Expect to see more of him if Liverpool stay top.

I've just been reading the list of the highest played English players...

Jordan Henderson - £665,000-per-week

Harry Kane £415,000-per-week

Jude Bellingham £345,000-per-week

Raheem Sterling £325,000-per-week

Marcus Rashford £300,000-per-week

Jack Grealish £300,000-per-week

Mason Mount £250,000-per-week

John Stones £250,000-per-week

Jadon Sancho £250,000-per-week

Reece James £250,000-per-week

Bonkers!

Bonkers!

The most bonkers part of that list is Jordan Henderson being the highest earner, earning almost double the third highest-paid player and almost three times as much as the bottom four.

Nonsense, the saudi league is a hard place to play. It's little wonder they want to buy up other leagues. 😂

I know we all moan about refs and VAR, but at least its not as mental as Turkey 😳

All leagues in the country are now suspended after a club president storming onto the pitch and punching a ref in the face. Insanity!

Can't see this ending well for the Turkish team, the punch was bad enough, but he was getting kicked in the head on the ground, UEFA and FIFA will push this hard as well, expect an exceptional punishment for this one!

Wow, first time I've seen the video. What on earth is the appropriate punishment for that?

What do you mean? Playing in front of an average crowd of 8000 and 8th in the league - Saudi league is going to be the next big thing... like the Chinese league...

Really shouldn’t laugh about the Turkish referee but just heard Kevin Bridges on the radio say "I wanna know how bad the decision must have been" which raised a guilty chuckle.
