Taking it to new levels!

A driver in Suffolk has been fined £60 for speeding by a bogus police officer.

The man was driving on London Road in Brandon at 0300 BST on Friday when he was stopped by a grey Ford Mondeo with a blue light on the front grill...

...Police have issued drivers with advice on how to tell if a police officer is genuine...

"A spokeswoman said a police officer shall identify himself by shoving 20,000 volts up your jacksie with his Tazer before issuing a fixed penalty notice"

He told the man he had stopped him because he was speeding and asked for £60 to cover the fine. He drove off when he was given the money.

Bloke was fugging lucky to escape with his life, imo - has he not seen No Country for Old Men?

Gary: Oh, don't worry, Mr. Simpson, we can take care of ourselves.
Snake: Uh, wallet inspector!
Benjamin: Oh, here you go. I believe that's all in order.
Snake: Wow, I can't believe that worked! (runs away)
Homer: Hey wait a minute… that's not the wallet inspector!

wasn't there a thread on here a while back where that happened to someone? IIRC they got pulled over for 'dangerous driving' (pulling into fast lane of motorway?) by someone who cllaimed to be a plainclothes policeman, swore at them a lot and then didn't book them.

How can anyone be so gullible? It was in Brandon... They are all like that up there. It's very close to Norfolk.

I can't understand why he went to the press. Why would anyone do that ?

Presumably he isn't worried about feeling completely and utterly humiliated 😕
Which kinda makes it difficult for me to feel any sympathy. Tw4t.

I work in Ely, not far from Bradon, and webbed feet & inbreeding are
not uncommon. 🙂
