Glas Vegas is another one d/l'ed on the basis of hearing a song or two, although I could still listen to that if I put my mind to it.
Good call that. I bought Daddy's Gone when it first came out (before they signed to a label) and it blew me away. Listened to the rest of the album yesterday on Spotify, and frankly was not very impressed. Boo.
Editors are great. First album was probably one of my favourite albums actually if the playcount on Itunes is to be believed.
But feel free to judge me from your middle of the road suburban dinner party playlist.

Whatever DJ - inventive tag by the way
Herman Dune - Giant is another one that comes to mind.
I like 'em, in a cheery singalong kind of way... though I generally prefer melancholic americana, like that of the mighty Smog (whose album cover for Knock Knock is surely an early LOLCAT contender...).
For bucolic guitar meanderings, I like The Kingsbury Manx.
I hear the foxy fellas have a 2nd album out ...saw them twice in 2009, 1 intimate & 1 festival, both really good performances.
However, they'd have to have progressed or diverged their style a little to get me to buy the latest offering.
And yes, Smog / Bill Callahan=MIGHTY.
Gonna try and get tickets fer t' Arctic Monkeys in their (and my) home town tomorrow.

Meh, Interpol wannabes. And for god's sake, CHEER UP and stop MOANING, the lot of 'em! ๐
For some reason I've got it in my head that they got really @rsey about being called 'The' Editors, and prompted the BBC to make a real effort to call bands 'Editors', 'Silversun Pickups' etc, rather than 'the editors', 'the silversun pickups', 'the fleet foxes' and so on.
Pointless paragraph that, I'll go now...
