Got some flat-pack furniture today, manufactured in India. This made me chuckle; a warning not to use power tools to construct otherwise it invalidates the guarantee (I think).

Use of power tools to assemble this product will any claim and damage this product making unsave !!!

Fortunately it had pictures to show you how to put it together.

You may find the reason for none use of power tools
is that DIY people may keep the finger on the trigger
driving in the screw fixings and continue driving the
fixing through the outer face of the board material.

I assumed that really. I used my battery drill which has a torque control on it. It makes short work of flat pack furniture.

It was the English they used which made me laugh rather than the suggestion that I shouldn't use a power tool 😀

Flat Crap? Not in my experience, but worthy of the rhyme. 😆
