I'm looking for ideas to create a 'wheel wedge' rack in the shed - ideally just push the bike in at floor level. Suggestion please please for single wheel rack sources - I've got 2.1m and bikes of different tyre width (all MTB) and different handlebar width...?

I also want to build a shelf or two above the bikes. I could do with freestanding shelves - what's a good place to order some of the 'kit' steel shelving systems?

If anyone has some pictures of similar, I'd welcome that to know I'm not being daft on this one!

Can make a wooden rack cheaply and easily, easy to make a few different widths for a road and MTB section (or just fit road inserts so you can still have all MTBs at a later date)

^ that wooden rack is exactly what I was thinking about - and I have an old fence I can repurpose for it.

Big dog for the shelves

Screwfix heavy duty garage shelves seem to be well regarded but no stock at the mo.

That seems to be the issue - finding the right parts in stock to build the shelves.

The BigDug stuff looks good, but I used the G-Rack stuff from Amazon. It's cheaper and from memory I think there's a a wider choice of dimensions. I think the BigDug racks are available only in either 450mm or 600mm depth. So depending on the space you're working with you cmy be able to make better use of it.

It feels a bit on the flimsy side when it first comes out of the box. But once you've put it together it's surprisingly solid. I've found it more than adequate for garage/shed storage.
