The Skids at the Marquee in 79.
Buzzcocks '78 Bradford. Love Bites tour?
Either young'uns don't go to concerts or there are a lot of old folks on here.
The Jam & The Stranglers, Leeds Poly, April 1977
Stiff Little Fingers, Ulster Hall, 1984
Buzzcocks at Leeds University - 1977 or 78.
Steeleye Span, Lacock Folk Festival, forty years ago last year. Next gig was Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Trilogy Tour, St David's Hall, Cardiff 1972. Steeleye played Chippenham Folk Festival last year for the 40th anniversary, and I met Maddy Prior afterwards and had my copies of Below The Salt on original vinyl and CD signed. Great gig.
I saw Sparklehorse a couple of times, was that the Fleece gig when Mark came on pissed, and got progressively more shitfaced as the gig went on? Gemma Hayes was support, IIRC, and I saw her at the Fleece two or three weeks ago. Lovely girl, great singer.Sparklehorse in Bristol in 1998.
MrsBouy watched The Specials in 82, owe errr.
Roxy Music at the Glasgow Apollo probably around 1977-78.
Skunk Anansie - May 1995 - Clapham Common
Can't quite remember, either this lot,
or the delight that was,
Either way would have been at Rock City some time in the late 80s.

Stiff Little fingers at Leicester DeMontfort hall 79 or 80 I believe
First 2 gigs in the same week .... Bad Company at the Birmingham Odeon followed by UFO somewhere in Stoke!
Barclay James Harvest in Berlin ๐
Damned, Anti Nowhere League, Charge & Chron Gen about 82 in London, was hard going to school the next day...
Skunk Anansie - Glasgow Barrowlands 1996. The lead singer Skin burst out a side door as we were queuing before the gig and almost wiped me out in the process....never even got an apology. ๐
Stereophonics were the first support band on and failed to liven the crowd up.
KISS with Helix and Heavy Pettin in support. Glasgow Appollo in October 1983, it was a quite awesome gig, great memory.
How can you older people remember from back in the 60s & 70s !?! My memories are all a bit, ahem, hazey ๐ฏ 8)
Crowed House, Nelson 89.
Best, The Beach Boys, Wembley Stadium 1976 they had the whole stadium singing Good Vibrations, Barbara Anne etc.
Worst, Elton John, Wembley Stadium 1976 he followed the Beach Boys and the stadium started to empty!
Should also add Dr Feelgood @ The Kursaal Southend were brilliant.
Def Leppard, Malvern Winter Gardens 1979
Jimster I think you'll find Def Leppard were the support band ... remember who headlined????
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band in the Sally in Perth about 1972
Aerosmith @ Wembley....
Iron Maiden at the Birmingham Odeon, October 1986.
Galliano - Bristol Anson Rooms - long time ago!
Squeeze, 1982 at Salford Uni with the current Mrs Sandwich. (It keeps her on her toes, and me too!)
Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, Edinburgh Playhouse 1986 - waiting outside after for my pal's dad to pick us up we watched a guy get hit and killed by a guy on a motorbike.
As a shoegazing sixth former, i saw Ride at Derby assembly rooms, supported by a rather lively support act called "The Verve".
Talk about upstaged; in response, Andy Bell (He who went on to strum for Oasis) snapped 3 strings on his guitar during Ride's first song...

I was once at a free festival at Windsor Great Park in, erm, the early seventies - ish. I think. Probably '72. Or maybe '73....
Anyway, I distinctly remember that we were all waiting for The Pink Fairies to come on stage. We waited and waited only to be told that they weren't going to appear because they were too stoned to play.
Strangely, nobody seemed to mind... ๐
First Live band I saw was a little-known group from Cornwall called Rootjoose, in the Footage & Firkin on Oxford Road, Manchester ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rootjoose
Such a long time ago... early 70s
will have been around 72 or 73 at Leeds Uni
Not sure which was first ...either
Rick Wakeman and the English Rock Ensemble ( honest )
or
Nils Lofgren , Support was a stunning Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
but it could have been one of many as LEeds Uni was fantastic back then for bands
The Pouges @ the Forum in Kentish Town probably around '87 I guess.

No they were the Headline act on the "Through the night tour" supported by Witchfynde - 1980 not 79 as previously quoted. ๐ณ
I almost certainly watched a few ageing British Beat groups gig when I was a nipper in the early 70s..
Then maybe Anthrax supported by Killer Dwarfs in '87 or perhaps Iron Maiden around the same time
show me age now the mighty hawkwind at the brangwyn hall swansea.1972ish space ritual tour with lemmy, brock, nik turner and a certain dancer .not a bad start ?? .still remember lot of it to this day.
