I came across some of these in the recent issue of Living Woods magazine, a publication I would commend to anyone with an interest trees, woodland and timber, http://www.living-woods.com/. I contacted the mag and spoke to their editor Nick Gibbs and he very kindly sent me out this little lot. Don't know if I'm stepping on anyones copyright toes hopefully not.

Easy to do when your firewood is all the same length and all nicely split into even shaped straight-grained triangles. Unfortunately in real firewoodtrackworld it's never like that!

cheers mucker. some cracking images there.
And have taken out a trial sub of living-woods too. Looks like good "pint-of-beer" reading.

Started on chopping next winters' logs yesterday. Nice to get cracking on it in the sunshine.

That's nice, they have a £5, three-issue trial offer for the mag.

I have subscribed today £5 for 3 issues is a bargain in my world. Love reading about this kind of thing, have a few friends that work in the woods that I think will also be interested.

I subscribed too, looks like an interesting read. I was looking at Alaskan mills the other night.
