Time to end this thread now.
Neither were the best films but such a visual and audio treat, plus they remind me of happier times
Until the end of the world - Wim Wenders
Romeo + Juliet: Directed by Baz Luhrmann
Into The Wild. Eddie Vedder soundtrack.
My 2 faves:
Dead Man . Awesome film, awesome soundtrack (Neil Young)
Southern Comfort, in a similar vein - Ry Cooder. Awesome film too.
Donkey Punch has a damn good soundtrack. Great soundtrack, great film (actually, terrible film 😀 )
Morvern Caller (with Samantha Morton) is a bit miserable, but the music is fab (Can, Aphex Twin, Velvets.. etc)
Ocean's Eleven prob already been mentioned.
The Hit from 1984 I have the soundtrack on vinyl somewhere. I thought it was flamenco, but this trailer has some dodgy riffing. I'll have to dig it out and have a listen. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087414/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
What no mention of 'Ironman'!!??
Some good suggestions. I'll add:
Hackers.
The Mission.
The Mission
Also by the (sadly departed) genius Morricone.
Grosse Point blank
Human Traffic
Lock Stock
Trainspotting
A life Aquatic
Royal Tenebaums.
Ducks over dubbed 2stroke Detroit diesel rather than the puny Caterpillar actually fitted to the Mack is sound for the soul.
Prefer a Gardner 6LXB on tick over myself
Baby Driver
McVicar
Cars, good call.
Love that zz ward song at the end of the last one.
Round midnight
And I don't think I've seen any mention of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
Apologies if I missed it, but definitely in my top few film soundtracks.
Though maybe there ought to be separate threads for soundtrack music designed to accompany the movie scenes and soundtracks which just have a nice selection of songs.
