[Closed] Fences and planning permission question
Do any of you expert folk know if planning permission is required for a 1.8m tall metal fence?
The school at the back of our garden are proposing one and while it will be better quality than the chain link that's there at the moment it's horribly tall, the field is a little higher than our garden which will make it even more intrusive.
Normally for domestic properties the rules for fences are max 1m high for front boundaries with roads and 2m high for boundaries with other property, with heights measured above existing ground level. So from that I'd guess there's no requirement for PP on the new fence, but you can always put in a call to your LA to double check.

Problem is that it's the local authority putting it up. Bakes, it was only a mild pondering, don't worry I'm not to go chaining myself to any post hole boring machines or anything!
