The bob fleming sketch were he thinks he is off camera and is talking about presenting his ladyfriend with a piece of temporary neck jewellery 😀 ,then goes into "ello Bob Fleming ere " genius

birky; thanks. Love that sketch. Stands out for me as a moment that defines Whitehouse's brilliance.

Whitehouse has an amazing ability to observe people, and develop fabulous characters all with their own unique foibles. Utterly believable, almost 'real' people. Characters with their own unique catchphrases like Ron Manager; 'jumpers for goalposts', a phrase now deeply entrenched in our culture.

He's even managed to make insurance adverts funny. Far, far better than that stupid annoying toy dog.

Agree with that (although CAIRO - MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!) cracks me up every time

Great acting and I think shows how much Whitehouse enjoyed that character.
