Off on family hols to Dorset next week, not having been there for 30 years what are the must do things with a young family? Beaches obviously, are the majority stoney down there? To re-live my childhood, Bovington Tank Museum and looking for fossils at Lyme Regis are on the list.

Several rides in the Purbecks 😀
Monkey world, just down the road from the tank museum, loads of playgrounds for kids as well as the monkeys.
Kingston Maurward (gardens, animals) is close by and good for small kids.

Lulworth Cove is worth a visit but stony so not a great beach for kids.
The rib boat ride is short but worthwhile to see the arches from the sea.
