Hi all, in light of great advice on good places to stay near Strasbourg I recently asked about, I thought I would try my luck again 🙂
Does anyone know of any good places to stay around the calais/dunkirk area that are a reasonable cost. I have looked at Dunkirk, but ive left it a little late and even the Ibis budget is £150 a night. (looking in August)
Id love to take my 10 year old to a WW2 bunker/fort, so something near one of those would be good.

My favourite town in that area is Bergues - a bit South of Dunkirk. It's very pretty - town walls and moats, including a drawbridge. It's a long time since we stayed there (in Au Tonneilier), but there may be a small independent hotel you could look at?
I just put Bergues into Booking.com and came up with a few at under £150 for 2 nights . . .
Eurocamp at Guines? It's only a couple of miles from the Tunnel complex. We've stayed there and it's fine.
