Yes! Yes, they certainly have!!
I thought it was just me & my miserable old ways that found them annoying......
If I'm not mistaken, I used to see these in Germany. Now, just you wait till the name stickers appear ie in nice squiggly writing...one on each bottom corner of the rear windscreen. It'll give one a whole new social strata at which to sneer.
EDIT: tbh, if they wind up the childhaters brigade members, then bring 'em on. ๐
a stratUM, DD <sneers>
^^ family of Christians?
Quite like the Darwin fish.
There is a trend in Germany for putting the name of your children on the rear window, often accompanied with little stick men drawings.
Toyed with the idea of putting "die namen deine kinder Interessiert mich nicht" ("the name of your child does not interest me") but it's a bit of a mouthful.
I'd have expected nothing less from you scaredy. ๐
Stickers of any sort have no place on a car.
My particular brand of car sticker hell are the ones that car dealerships stick on every car they sell.
They seem to think that because they were good enough to take your money in exchange for a car then that gives them the automatic right to use you as a mobile advertising hoarding for all eternity thereafter.
Even more astonishing is that most people are complicit in this and will happily drive around for years proclaiming that they've been shafted by whichever dealership.
In particular these little yellow ****ers REALLY grind my gears....

I will actively seek these out and request permission from the vehicle owners to remove them.
I once bought a car from Arnold Clark and whilst doing the deal and sorting out the paperwork explicitly stated that I wanted no stickers on the car. Made the salesman write it on the order.
Went to pick the car up a week later and it had two stickers in the back window. Point blank refused to accept the car until they had the stickers removed.
At least the "fairy dust" brigade et al have made a conscious choice to display their bell-endery.
It's the stealth tactics of the weapons grade tadgers who masquerade as car salesman who dupe the innocent that truly boils my pish.
Next time you buy a car insist on sticking a poster in their showroom window advertising YOUR business and see how you get on.....
I'm feeling guilty about putting Kinetics badges on bikes I sell now.

Doesn't bother you then?
In an ironic twist the car with the totally obscured windows that ran into me this morning had a "Watch for cyclists" sticker on it. I noticed it when i was about an inch away from it. Those family ones irritate the sh1t into me as well.
If you can read any rear view stickers whilst driving you are :
a. Too close
b. Not concentrating on the road
Of all the things to get worked up about, really?
Some folk need to get out more. Or have a ****. One of the two.
Round here it's the black hacks that have the family names across the back window, been doing it for years...

d. waiting at the lights

f. who cares, got a my family sticker?

I saw one yesterday that was just 'man - woman - dog' and that wound me up just as much, so I don't think it's related to the 'I've got kids' aspect of it.

Yes! This too. I have always said that any car I bought from a dealer would not be driven off the forecourt until they had removed all advertising for their dealership that they had stuck or attached to it.
You see quite a few Audi's (and possible VW's) round our with a Vindis sticker actually attached to the paintwork on the boot. I'd want it removed before accepting the car.

How about if you are overtaking them, or they overtaking you? Or you are stopped behind them at a roundabout/junction/traffic lights? Or if you see it in a car park?
Anyway - that's nonsense. I notice lots of things while driving that aren't specific to the actual act of driving that have no impact on my ability to 'concentrate on the road'.
A former neighbour of mine had this stuck across his rear window.

I hope it shat in his boot.
Why do horse transporters have the word HORSES written on them when vans that freight about other items get by without having GARDEN FURNITURE, BEANS or SHOWER UNITS emblazoned on the back?
Car dealerships have started putting branded reg plates on as well now, bastards!
Although i hate car stickers and remove any from any car I buy, i don't understand the animosity towards baby on board signs. There lots of tossers driving far to close to peoples rear ends and if a signs gets them to think about there driving a little bit then surely this has to be a good thing. In a perfect world everyone would give the correct amount of space so signs would not be needed, but this is NOT a perfect world when it comes to cars and drivers.
Here you go alpin

The translated as " No brat with a shit name on board".
Here in Austria there's a few named stick figure stickers. Mainly on ageing cars with blacked out windows (home kit done badly)
I think the ones with the owner's children's names on them - JACK AND MOLLY ON BOARD - are a great idea.
Knowing the children's names makes it far less likely that I'll ram the car from behind and try to force it into a ravine. More personal.
There are a lot of children called Arnold Clark round here, I've noticed.

I'd refuse to take a bike from a shop with a shop sticker on it.

Partly the thought that you will change your driving behaviour because there is a kid in there is a bit defeatist, partly as it seems to accompany some of the worst driving from people who seem to think that they can run a creche and drive at the same time.
The named stickers make it so much easier for the paedophiles.
Stickers? Pah. If you really want to accessorize you need badges. Cool car turbo decal badges.
My favorite had to be a diesel Zafira I spotted recently that had not one but two Turbo badges, including the one above. Along with a VXR and SRI badges. And a strip of LEDs along the back bumper. Awesome.
"Caution Show Whelks in Transit"
Not sure why, but those family stickers really annoy me, especially the ones with adults and dogs. Glad to see that it's not just me!
But I like stickers.... I have loads in a box in my garage, Fox, Hope, RS, eThirteen, Superstar, Kinesis, Juicy lubes, Specialized, Aztec and many more...
I have a Rockshox one on my car, and an RSPCA one, oh and a tax disc which ran out in May does that count ๐ (I know it winds up some people on here...)
Can I get one with each of my bikes to go across the back window? The kids can drive themselves around now.
Car dealerships have started putting branded reg plates on as well now, bastards!
Its compulsory for cars registered after a certain point (y2kish I think) to have markings on the number plates indicating who provided the plate. Given that the dealers register new cars this is not really a surprising move. Its much preferable to branded stickers everywhere.
I saw this in Sainsburys car park the other day. The woman in the drivers seat looked like Mary off Coronation Street - post menopausal, asexual spinster, lives alone, probably owns cats... Lots of cats...
I'm usually of a fairly mild mannered disposition, but I wanted to drag her out of the car, stab her in the neck, then strap her to the bonnet before driving round village rear-ending slow moving vehicles, then taking her back to her smelly little house and setting fire to her in front of her cats.
But apart from that, stickers don't really bother me...
I hate dealership stickers too, especially ones bang in line with the rear view mirror, which seems a specialty.

I found out recently it's UK law that the number plate supplier puts their name and postcode on, along with the BS standard for number plates.
Annoying when their name is something like 'Crash Damage Repairers' as I found out when I got my front bumper replaced along with the reg plate...
We've had a few over the years with the Dick Lovett sticker. Tbh, I've left it there to give people a giggle. It might cheer them up on the motorway instead of getting so wound up about someone with a "Baby On Board" sticker as they drive home to to continue their empty lives ranting about it on a forum.
The sticker on the back of our van says "Just because we both ride bikes doesn't mean that we're friends".
I'm not sure if this is good, or not...

Fair point but I think a sticker saying "Get off my tailgate you arsehole" would be more appropriate.
