Leadership is the art of trading imaginary things (promotion) in the future for real things today.
Nah mate, i understand what youre saying but it was a good time to go - id been there 16 years and seen it being gradually run down over 4 by the current owners. The survival of the company is in the hands of clowns with no financial background and no respect for their (very) skilled workforce. They made some ridiculous oversights when buying kit - 2nd hand web press from Belgium - didnt realise all the computers running it were in Flemmish ๐ฏ ... Cost em an extra 60k to get them reprogrammed in english. That and other oversights put the project Waaay overbudget and their solution was to cut a few jobs.
I appreciate about taking pay cut to keep the place going but they are pretty sound financially and have made good profits over ALL the previous years i know of. Just an knee-jerk reaction to make the books look good but to be 100% honest i was pleased to get out.

I am free to disagree as to what I prioritise
As i said
Each to their own
