I just got a Fujitsu Storagebird 750GB ext HDD at work to use as backup.I've downloaded "Backup Maker" to automatically back up my files every 10 mins if they have changed. Do I leave the drive on permanently or switch it off each night when I go home?

It's mains powered so switch it off when you switch your PC off.

No real reason to leave it on if you're not there to make any changes.
