Oh dear I'm sorry to hear about that, care to share who? I know some of the ones I had on the 'other' list are no longer here and frankly I'm not surprised, not that I agree with banning folk just because of their opinion, but a couple of them used to just dominate everything, I think the list was made just before the 'purges' they're not here anymore, not that I've noticed of late, but then I tend to have long periods away.

As an aside I remember you from back then and can't believe you were left off the cool list, but then your suffix might have part of the explanation if you were on a temporary forced 'vacation' 😉

Oh and 'cool' as abused a term as ever there was, but cool is very much in the eye of the beholder.

Mountainbikes/mountainbikers are not cool, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves.
even the peats/athertons wish they were on motocross bikes and the reason they wear full face lids is so they can hide their faces when making braaaaap! noises.

Cool? Er, no. 40 something, bald and not as fit as I should be.
However, in real life I am quite a nice bloke- friendly and polite.
On the Internet though, I come across as argumentative, opinionated (although that is because I am correct) and sarcastic.
Having met a few people from various forums I have generally found they are much nicer than their on screen personas.

I'm cool I don't own an Audi or an Orange Five, have ridden cannock chase and don't mind the nasty shiny pebbles, so that's me definitely on the way to being on someones list 8)

It's hard to imagine MTBers are cool, but like everything it's contextual: A few weekends back, elliptic and I were muscling along the The Quirang trail on Skye and were repeatedly greeted by groups of wide-eyed, beaming, dusky Spanish maidens, on holiday with their miserable, envious boyfriends. I cite this as evidence that in the right context, mountain bikers can be cool.

There's a good chance that I am the coolest person that posts on STW. That's not something I'm especially proud of, or happy about.

Ahhh yes, same thing happened to me last week. Only I wasn't in Skye. I was in Atlantis. And I wasn't on a bike. I was on unicorn.

I felt well cool this morning on my ride into work. I was a bit worried about my new road bike shoes and pedals combo, i.e. comedy unclipping moment, but managed to get to work without unclipping once!

And, half way there I realised i had white shoes, white gloves and a white helmet. nothing else mattered at that point..........

20 years ago when we had to have roll call on here every Monday to see who'd died at the weekend, then we were cool, now we talk about domestic appliances and have relationship crises, and our children cast wry glances at us trying to figure out if they were in fact actually adopted. We are Not Cool

Well I've just stopped Air Punching whilst running around the office, I think this lot are kinda greatful I stopped.

One person asked me why/what I was doing (the rest CGIS) when I tried to explain the fact that I've appeared on a Cool List on STW the only response I got was "STW, what's that? Is it Simple Tortured Willywavers"??

For the avoidance of doubt I have never been described as cool. I engage in a cool sport, Mountain Biking, but I am not cool at it no do I look cool whilst doing it !

I do try and play nice on here though, in reality I am much more grumpy.
