Greece's victory at the Euros just reinforces how dire England have been. Just very poor that I attended our past remotely decent performance, which was losing in the semis in '96 😐

Jammers - my cousin, who is an uber-statto, and would bet on 2 flies crawling up a window - had analysed all the pre-tournament form that year, and confidently predicted (before a ball had been kicked) that the final would be a repeat of the opening game (Greece v Portugal) and Greece would win it 😯

He had what he referred to as 'a serious punt' on that outcome. Like an idiot, I, and everyone else, went 'yeah, right....'
