Gareth Bale has been the biggest miss tonight.

Bit harsh, he had a decent first half did much more than Renaldo.

just been a game too far for wales, portugal deserving this, particularly with the 2nd half display.

Shame.

When you get shouldered off the ball by Nani, you know it's not your day.

Although, Bale does seem to be giving it his all.

I still think Ramsey missing is the reason Wales haven't scored.

Bit unlucky to go 2 down in quick fire fashion. 1-0 would still have been a game to chase.

Ronaldo's header was superb but never good to conceed from a corner. Then a soft second 🙁 bad 5 mins otherwise Wales have looked comfortable.

I dunno. Neither side really did anything 1st half. This has been Wales worst performance. Portugal haven't really done that much and they're 2-0 in front. Bale is a very good player but he's not been at his best tonight. Can't fault his effort though.

How about a Portugal/Ronaldo scoring/ winning score treble?

At least you can console yourself with this Bongo....assuming you went for 2-0??

Ronaldo's 43rd missed free kick, hopefully the Germans get through, they know how to make a wall

I didn't bet on this one, Rockape. Well, I went for an tournament outright on Portugal to jinx them but my powers seemed to have waned.

Outplayed, but not by much. A little unlucky, but Wales didn't really threaten much. Definitely missed Ramsey. bale just had too much to do without him.

As I texted to my mum back in Ceredigion earlier:

"Am disappointed but that's somehow a good thing: who would ever have thought that one could feel disappointed at Wales losing to Portugal in the semi finals of the European Championships...?"

Bloody marvellous effort - da iawn!

Wales certainly did their country proud and should take this forward to the World Cup qualifying, their improved ranking must help with the draw ?

Well, as we scrape to the finish line. Does anyone really care anymore?

Well I bloody do!

LEZGO!

France v Germany - BBC1

France are the favourites, and have started firing on all cylinders. Germany are Germany. So even without Thomas Mueller scoring yet, they are still ominous. Plus Giroud will probably do an Arsenal and not be able to perform with the pressure on 😉

It's going to go two ways. Goal fest, or cagey 1-0, possibly 1-1 going to pens. Either way, I have Germany for the win, and predicting 3-2 to Germany.

Lets be honest I really care about is Portugal not winning the tournament. Other than that whoever plays best from Germany/France I'd like to win, logic says Germany but emotionally would prefer France and always great for the home Nation to triumph. Low scoring semi (cagey as above) probably a 1-0

Was very cute in the park earlier as a big group of school kids (8 or 9 ?) where all walking along singing "allez les blues"

So who are we cheering on tonight?

The French presumably? Or do we think only the Germans will beat Portugal's fun sucking football?

Best get my Marseillaise in early:

Edit: the neighbours were singing along but but by the time I'd managed a reasonably clean take they'd given up.

Better get my German national anthem in early...

Maybe a bit of Thomas Mueller dancing...

Could be anything, this. I've not bet on it as I've lost quite enough these last few weeks. Unlike Mrs Binners who has absolutely cleaned up! 😕

It's irrelevent anyway. Before it all started I put money on France or Germany to win the tournament. So I have therefore cursed Whoever goes through tonight to lose to Portugal. Probably on penalties, just to make it even worse 🙁

french started bright. doubt the germans game plan would be to go at them from the off though.

Muller really is off it.

Good game for the relatively neutral.

Shades of Euro 96, the Germans against the host in their home stadium. Anyone remember how that ended?

On a side-note, I'd like to recommend the following:

Wouldn't pay a fiver for it, but on offer at £3, it's bloody lovely.

Should have been a pen.

Did the French blow their load in the first 5 mins?

france must be getting frustrated here.

So must Germany - not able to turn their possession into clear cut chances.

France being made to look very ordinary apart from the first 5 mins.

the germans should just pass it into the net. these shots from outside the box are getting them nowhere.
