Actually, Italy won't be too pleased. Il Trap has a good record against them and hell, the last time we met them in a major tournament final, we beat them.
Group D = Group of death, it looks likes the toughest of the lot.
DD, I'd be plastic whoever I followed cos my crowd of shite never had a chance of making it.
Think I might go "home" for the group stages, would be great to soak up some Irish atmosphere (and Guinness :))

you're righ though, i think group d is tough because all the teams look much of a muchness without any one team showing anything like a real quality. hard to see the tournament winner coming from there.
as for ireland, i think that they or croatia could get out of the group. spain have shown that they can be beaten if the opposition are fit enough to stifle them for 90 mins.
where england and ireland are right now, i think any draw was going to be tough.
