Good game so far, sensational skill from Suarez (a better player than Torres imo) absolute gift from Nani for Kuyt, but then WTF happened??? Carra's challenge was a foul, no doubt, deserved a yellow, but then Nani gets up, has a strop, then falls over again., and is eventually stretchered off.. Trying to get Carra sent off no doubt. No surprise from that little cheat, let's be honest. But then seconds later, Rafael goes mad and it all kicks off again!

Second half should be juicy. I'd be amazed if it finishes up with all 22 players still on the pitch. Typical of Man U to kick off when it's not going their way though.

Live the ref just standing some distance away with his arms folded while all the handbaygs were out! ๐Ÿ˜†

Forgetting all that; RIP Dean Richards. Far, far too young. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

United to win 3-2

Loving this:-

but it's all about Luis Suarez, who has the best pair of feet English football has seen for a very long time. He dribbles past three United defenders from an almost impossibly tight position on the left inside the box, leaving Rafael, Michael Carrick and Wes Brown trailing in his wake before slipping the ball through Edwin van der Sar's legs for Kuyt to prod in from a yard. Anfield erupts.

Madness. It's sheer madness. Liverpool win a free-kick for Wes Brown's clumsy tackle on Dirk Kuyt and Luis Suarez's low shot is fumbled by Edwin van der Sar, with poacher-in-chief Kuyt getting in like a flash to convert from about a yard. He's bagged a treble, the Dutchman - and they've been gifted too him, all of them.

Andy Carroll coming on....

Pacemaker; club loyalties must be put aside, at such tragic moments. Dean was a young man with a family, who are now without a father, a husband, a son. Very, very sad.

Where are all the Mancs today? Plenty of 'em wibbling on about Ryan Giggs couple of days ago. Gone a bit quiet this afternoon, haven't they? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Poor Binners is probbly crying into his pint in some dingy depressing pub somewhere. ๐Ÿ™

Never mind, Binners; you do at least have the consolation of hurting Hora next time you see him. That'll cheer you up. ๐Ÿ™‚

Luis Suarez though, eh? Blimey...

Come on, it was a straight red, no doubt! Rash to say the least!

Anyway, got away with that, Great performance & result

All set up for the typical Gunners Bottling it now

Fnatastic game at Molineux; a fitting tribute to Deano.

Come on, it was a straight red, no doubt! Rash to say the least!

Yeah, there was a case for a red, but I think Nani's reaction did him no favours. Really don't think Carra meant owt malicious; he's a hard, but fair player tbh.

Anyway, had Carra bin sent off, then you can guarantee Rafael would've had to go too. I think Phil Dowd had a really good game.

What is wrong with Fergie Bacon Face? Talk about a poor loser. What's he blaming now for his team's performance? Tosser. Great manager, but he needs to learn a bit of humility. I wouldn't mind, but then he bangs on about other managers not showing enough 'respect'??? He's the worst, by a long, long way.

Ban him from the touchline for a few months, I say. And fine Man U a million quid every time he has a rant. And deduct points. That'd learn him. ๐Ÿ˜†

Happy 60th King Kenny! ๐Ÿ˜€

Where is Binners? I'm getting worried.

Hora's understandably probbly gone into hiding. Lest he ends up on the receiving end of one...

Think the reason Nani fell back over was he took a look at his leg.

WARNING Not for the Squeamish >>

http://yfrog.com/hs4gz1j

Problem is he made a rod for his own back with his previous behaviour so most of the players thought he was up to his usual tricks. Top marks to Meireles for kneeling down and staying with him whilst his team mates ignored him for some handbags instead.

no it was despicable of him to be injured from a non malicous hard but fair carra tackle.
I doubt his dramtic flounce, which did him no credit, cuased him to be stretechered off. What do you think?
Both fouls were red for me and both were lucky to stay on the pitch so at least the ref was consistent.
That aside United were poor and Liverpool played well. A nice dribble by Suarez and I suspect few players deserve a day in the sun against their biggest rivals like Kuyt. Chapeau to him.

I just thought his dramatic flounce made him look a bigger cock than he really is (and that's pretty big). FFS, why can't players man up anymore.

The handbags were a bit of a joke from either side tbh. Skrtel was at it after the Hernandez challenge too. Another proud weekend after the antics in Glasgow. Fair dues to the ref for (more or less) keeping a lid on it.

If Nani's injury was so bad, how come he was up and running about straight after? Pah, it's a slight graze. I've had worse than that and played on. ๐Ÿ™„ Apparently he's 'out for the rest of the season'. Oh well, at least ref's won't have to deal with his antics then.

So, Junky, you think Carragher's a dirty player then? He was late with the tackle. He went to see Nani after the game, to apologise for it. Not exactly Roy Keane-esque behaviour, eh?

Where is Binners? Can someone go and have a look for him please?

And has anyone seen Hora?

Perhaps he went to visit him to sympathetically say

erm well erm so erm well so you are 'out for the rest of the season'. Oh well, at least ref's won't have to deal with your antics then. erm well erm tara laaa

So when keane cropped you knew he meant it when and did not regret it when he had calmed down after. Thank god for the honesty of caragher in the face fof yet another cheating man U player.

Of course carra is not a dirty player or one of the old school ruffians but it is still a bad tackle. Nani's initial reaction is very poor - perhpas he was just so angry he did not realise the extent of the injry then went down once adrenalin had susbsided? Perhaps he is a cheat as he plays for man u and carra does not. Either way I have no particular wish to defend either player though obviously Carra is ready for beafication and Nani the end of a bell.

bad tackle bad reaction bad injury blame who you wish for those facts.

boredom is better than addressing the issue or commenting eh Elfin ๐Ÿ™„
So i will gently prod you about your rather one sided view and you will just continu to ignore it. Excellent
perhaps I should just do what you and fergie do instead?

Just bored of discussing Carra's tackle on Nani, and Nani's subsequent strop. Done, dealt with.

Want to discuss Suarez dancing through the Man U defence? ๐Ÿ˜€ Brilliant bit of football. Took 3 or 4 defenders. And the ball would've trickled over the line had Kuyt not made sure.

Loved the little 'tap-ins' montage at the end of MOTD2 tonight. Did you see it?

He may well cry wolf every time he's touched, but this time he might have a point.
[img] [/img]

Also seems feasible that adrenaline 'caused' him to confront the ref before going down again.

Carra should've gone though, as should Rafeal.

EDIT: Hmm, bit weird: image will no longer display. Oh well, here's the linky.

First impressions of him based on doing a match I thought great one touch and skills but only the one pace, later on he broke down the right and put on a spurt of speed so I think he plays his cards close and there are lots more skills to see.

First twenty mins or so they were very fluid and were a joy to watch, no one played in any set position they just seemed to flow all over the place, couldn't sustain it thou, be interesting to see if that develops. Looks like Gerrard has been taken by the scruff of the neck and had a good talking to and told exactly what he's to do.

MU were awful, Liverpool were good.
MU lead the table, Liverpool are 18 points behind.
MU will play CL next year, Liverpool will not.
It's just a game, let's talk about the season.

LOLcarpetz. Is that the new song for the Stretford End? I know they're badly off for tunes at OT, not having many songs, but that doesn't even rhyme and will be out of date soon enough anyway.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/mar/06/alex-ferguson-media-blackout-manchester-united

Ferguson and Gill really are pathetic. I'm sure the irony is lost on them of kicking up a fuss about refereeing decisions not going their way. given the favourable treatment they usually get (see the number of penalties awarded at Old Trafford/amount of injury time they get when they are behind etc etc).

If they are going to whinge about people not getting sent off when they should have done, then maybe they should start with Rooney. Carragher's tackle was reckless and could easily have been a straight red, but it wasn't malicious, unlike Rooney's elbow.
