I was kind of hoping he'd been poached for a new series of Pimp My Ride - rollin' wi' da big dog Westwood.
I've fixed soo many things on my own car/house/bikes/appliances based on the can-do attitude of Ed.
VERY sad.
Is as annoying (if not more so) than Mike Brewer.derek_starship - Member
Car SOS is soooooo much better than WD.Tim
shame. I actually prefer WD to car SOS as it does focus much more on the car work but now it sounds like that will thin out and WD will be very similar but with worse presenters and banter.
I'd like to see Edd doing something on a bigger show and a bit more budget. A series long slot on TG? a project build of a nice car?

If you want to see what that would be like, watch the US version of WD (saw it when in the US, Ed in a US workshop talking in dollars!). Where Ed fixes a car by... just buying a load of replacement parts and bolting them on, typical US style.
No show without big Edd as far as I'm concerned.
The Workshop bits are the show! they way the fixes are anything from straightforward - fixing an Audi TT's gearbox with a Nyloc nut. To horrendously complicated - swapping the chassis on a TVR!.
And his simple straightforward way of going through even the most complicated jobs has made me more confident in tackling stuff myself
Has he ever fixed a failed big end bearing or similar (in the show) ? or have they always gone for the recon option ? Think cylinder head off is the most "serious" engine work I've seen him do.
Best episode was the Porsche Boxster..£1000 and fixed with an oil change.
Brilliant. Bet the seller was crying when he watched that episode.
The morgan was pretty sweet if like that sort of thing.

not as much as Mike when he sold this for 15k 🙂
Always like the Edd bits, MB's bits have grated with me, things like calling a car seat a chair, trying to belittle the work Edd's done until the cars completed!
When MB was on Driven CH4's motoring show of the late '90's early 2000's, he wasn't quite so full of himself?
I wish Edd well, hope he finds success in his future ventures, he deserves it for putting up with MB for so long.

He could have Googled the fault himself, it's a well known issue.
The fake jeopardy "Ooh, we might have bought a bad 'un" cobblers Brewer comes out with grates.
As does his wig.
The thing that annoys me about WD, after MB... is that they always go for the crap version of a nice car
'We bought a Ferrari'.... 308
'We bought an Aston DB7'.... 6cylinder
'We bought a lancia delta integrale'... 8valve
'We bought an M5' .... from the Stone Age.
Best of luck to Edd
aren't they going for the "affordable" classic ?
'We bought a lancia delta integrale'... 8valve
but it was right hand drive.
and what annoyed me about all of those tom was they ALWAYS tried to "TAKE YEARS OFF IT "
fit grills, lights , bumpers etc off newer cars.
To some real classics as well.
The folk buying these cars aint stupid mike .... sticking on some more modern parts devalues a classic.
I real, real shame, but good to see Edd is a man of principles.
Edd meets Binky 🙂
New series started tonight, 9pm on Discovery with Ant Anstead instead of Edd.
It was, well it was Wheeler Dealers without Edd.
I quite liked the 3rd wing tho...
EDIT: Why can't I find this thread when I type Wheeler Dealers into the search box and have to resort to typing STW + Wheeler Dealers into Google? Bizarre.
