Hi - for all you experienced eBayersout there. I have had a couple of questions about shipping items on the UK auction to Poland/Germany.

1. I know from previous posts by others that there is some concerns that this can be used for dodgy buyers, though TBH I don't see why, other than tracking the culprits down if it is dodgy, why there is any more risk than UK. Comments please?

2. I've tried Googling for overseas shipping but can't seem to do better than £40-£50 for a pair of forks to Germany. Any recommended sites/carriers I should be looking at? I bumped in to an old colleague who sells stuff and he told me a name of a site but can't remember it and can't contact him.

3. On the eBay help pages it mentions having to fill out import forms. I never gave this a thought, though I should have really. Is this correct? It seems logical to me as even though it is a person to person sale it's still an import. Any experience with this?

Thanks for any help you can give me, point me in the direction of.

If its within the EU, shouldn't need a customs form.

Parcel2go will quote you for shipping abroad.
Royal mail can be competitive for some items
Plenty of listings on ebay for couriers too

Cheers Rock. Sold the fork in the UK now but at least I know where to look in future. My experience with Royal Mail in the UK for my sales has been very good and I think their costs are reasonable. Was just looking expensive for shipping a fork to Germany.
