Stealth Paint around the BB or is there an issue with it?

What, why, erm

What is this? Doesn't look like a frame that's been cut to steal it.  Frame that was binned by manufacturer? Someone stole the bb for a frankenbike™️?

Cut for warranty replacement I’d imagine. Prove the old frame is definitely destroyed

Definitely from the bin behind a bike shop. I've done that to plenty of carbon frames myself to prevent them being rebuilt or sold on. Obviously it's not enough to stop people from trying.

Edit: just spotted.. "Wheel Size

Dosent Have Eny"

Classic.

Genius!

Someone has been skip diving and found a warrantee destroyed frame and thought quids in. I'd guess the original owner had to chop the (probably cracked) bBB out to prove its dead for a replacement to be sent.

Even so, spares or repair, sounds legit.

I almost feel bad for them, that bedroom background (and spelling) suggests they're probably some kid who's all excited about their lovely bin find. I mean, even with the BB chopped out it probably still feels/looks expensive.

I remember a pal and I dragging a huge drum of thick black oil off the local beach up to the nearby petrol station thinking we'd made our fortune. They happily accepted it and disposed of with the rest of their waste oil then wondered why we were still hanging around waiting for our payout! 🙄

I almost feel bad for them,

'Message the seller' and ask how much they want for the Nerf gun.

If he'd just put FIRST TO SEE WILL BUY on the listing I'd be all over it.

I looked at an eBay ad for a pc monitor the other week, described as “working, but issues with the screen” accompanied by a picture of a garbled screen. So presumably all other functions of the monitor work, other than the screen, like, the, er... what else does a monitor do?

It's the sort of thing that if I had for free (and ideally it was mine and I had happy memories of riding) I'd love to turn into a bit of furniture. Maybe chop it down further, turn it on its side and find a way to attach to a wall with the top tube furthest out, add a few 3D printed attachments and balance a glass shelf on it.

But I wouldn't be paying money for it.

Surely this could be fixed with a large number of spoons

@kimbers it wasn't a spoon 😆

In all seriousness I am searching for a broken carbon disc frame to fix and ride.

I might message the seller and see if he would be prepared to split?

I like the fact under conditions he says "for parts or not working", so some honesty there. But Im not sure what parts you could use.

he says ‘parts’ plural - but it’s  not even the whole of one part

Thats a Giant Revolt Advanced same as mine. Looks like he found a good solution for his creaking press fit BB.
