I thought it was China that was descending into insanity?
Fluorescent lights – Take ages to come on, always on the blink, bulbs a pain to dispose of/break easily, noisy.
Ever considered the idea of, perhaps, just replacing the fluorescent tube with an LED one? Nicer light, doesn’t buzz, comes on instantly, and doesn’t start flickering and intermittently flashing on and off when the starter dies.
Just a suggestion, it’s what I did at least four years ago, along with every other incandescent bulb in the house.
Bob Harris and country music in general
I’ll hear nothing bad about Whispering Bob! And there’s nothing wrong with country music, it’s just another form of folk music, more properly known as Americans. Country and Western, or ‘hat acts’, on the other hand… 😖
Just realised I’d answered the fluorescent toob thing a while back. Never mind.
^^^ those emojis, send ’em back to the noughties pls 🤣
Or are they on-trend retro resurgence?
Possibly, but the simple fact is that the range of emoji’s available on my devices just don’t do quite the same things as those do.
I like them. So there! [img]

Steve Wright in the afternoon
Whenever I've been forced to hear his show, you can be sure he'll read out a 'fan' message that starts with the statement-
Great show Steve!
It'd make a great drinking game if I wasn't at work.
Can I add all radio DJs called Chris?
Everyday things we should no longer put up with:
1. Fluorescent lights – Take ages to come on, always on the blink, bulbs a pain to dispose of/break easily, noisy.
I just replaced one of the old tubes with a new LED tube which come on instantly. In fact you won't be able to buy the old style fluorescent tubes soon so you are right, they have no place in 2022 🙂
Talking into mobiles like you are on Startrek.
Yeah, what is that all about? It's weird. If they were on a video call I'd understand it. Is it some sort of 'cool' style thing?
