I really enjoyed it, but appreciate that it may not be to everyone's taste, Good soundtrack, quite atmospheric.

agree, film 2. watched it at a friends house with all the trimmings, HD,surround sounds, blue rays and 50"+ but still couldn't quite work out what the f was going on... there's arty and then there is arty, and this was neither. Shockingly bad.

Yes Jamie, I'm especially fond of the cheesy 80s soundtrack musik.
I can't comment on the hype as I never saw any, but the film was a solid 6.

I also didn't see/hear/(feel?) any hype, but having just watched the film i thought it was great.

I've seen three films this week: Man on Ledge, Safe House, and Drive - all very good, but Drive is a cut above in terms of style, story and acting.

Great film, amazing soundtrack, her from Mad Men and Gosling making double denim work. What's not to like?

I watched Safe House yesterday, yeah, good cast, yeah, good acting. But the rest was lacking. All so cliche. Was a bit of a shame.

watched it a while back, loved it. Good reminder to watch it again tonight.

A long way above some of the turgid crap rolling out these days

Hmmm my post is missing a bit.

Didn't know there was any hype and loved the film. I wonder if people were expecting Fall Guy type action as they heard it as about a stunt driver.

I saw no hype about this film. Loved everything about it including (especially) the soundtrack. Have seen it a few times since and that has only reinforced my opinion.

briliant film.
if you didn't like it then you have no soul.
and if you didn't contemplate, even for a second, getting a white embroidered silk jacket afterwards, then you're not proper man.
