Fireball - vile, vomit-inducing.
Southern Comfort is basically a commercially made Old Fashioned - the original cocktail.
Make your own - decent bourbon, a sweetener (syrup/honey/sugar) and bitters (Angostura the standard along with the orange variety but you can buy others to add different flavours

Seconded on the recommendation for Buffalo Trace Bourbon. I like Woodford Reserve as well and you can often pick that up at a reasonable price

Just chase it down with a Smirnoff Ice!
Thanks Bill; now I know where I've been going wrong!
Always good to get a tip from a pro...
Cheers for all the replies, there are some drinks there that if i see in the pub next time ill give them a go
In my 20's the quickest way to get drunk for me was the following
Gold label & Stella split, 2-3 pints of that and i was wasted
Other favourite was to order 2 neat double vodka's and bottle of Smirnoff ice black, drink just the neck out of the Smirnoff ice black and then pour in one neat double vodka, then neck the other neat double vodka then down the Smirnoff ice black!
I’ve just sampled a bottle of homemade bramble whisky I was given for Christmas that’s giving me a little bit of a southern comfort recall - sweet and almost chewy. A bit like drinking undiluted cordial- although it needing to a mature a bit yet
Sat down to watch a bit of TV half an hour ago and splosshed some Bells and Stones Ginger Wine into a glass.
Getting up for the 9:45 ride tomorrow might be a bit of a challenge but if I take the ebike I won't have to drive so all is good.
