Ironically, he was going quite deaf when I met him. He insisted it was just old age and not years of standing next to giant stacks of speakers. There really isn't anything more 'rock' than a full Marshall stack...

Mind you, he's probably enjoying the quiet.
I hope they get a 12 year old to play a terrible version of Stairway at the memorial.

RIP Jim,

Being an MK lad I done bits of electrical work in Marshalls. I used to work with a guy who worked there for over 20 years....his job was amp testing i.e. playing guitar all day long. He actually got bored in the end and left for something different....can you believe that!!

Shame - I used to see him at the 80s guitar shows signing posters n such

never wanted to speak to him as I don't realy like marshall but he seemed a chipper old guy

I now have the 1 watt marshall limited edition just out - it is the quintisential RAWK!!!!! amp - so Jim thnaks for that

I went to a sleigh Bells gig at the O2 in bristol, OMG, I was deaf for days after!!

"that" noise when you plug the jack in....makes me smile everytime
