Can you download and save them to watch offline?

Yeah, it's possible, if you download a programme called 'YouTube downloader' (YTD) it allows you to download from YouTube. You just put in the url and go from there. It's completely safe, used it plenty.
In terms of music, 'FLVTO' seems to have the best quality

Keepvid is another similar wsbsite that lets you download the video or just the soundtrack.
