[Closed] Don't Buy Off This Van Dealer

Hi I just wanted to share my experience of a garage; I had the miss fortune of buying a van from. The Dealer is O. LEE COMMERCIALS LIMITED Unit 3 Millrace Road Willowholme Ind Est Carlisle Cumbria CA2 5RS 07564 455697 The dealer trades on eBay motors, I purchased a 07 Vivaro swb, it was sold with FSH and six months warranty. I was told when I bought the van the service history would follow as the lease company who had owned the van had not passed it on yet, so off I went with my new 7k van, 5 days later the engine management light came on, I took it to a specialist and they diagnosed a faulty injector and advised me it would be £300-£700 depending if it needed to be drilled out. I called O Lee Commercials and told them of the problem, they said to go ahead we will sort it out after. So I had it repaired and serviced as at that point I didn’t know when it had last been done. It cost £734, most of it was the injector cost. I called O Lee commercials and told them, he had excuse after excuse why he shouldn’t pay the costs, in the end he agreed to pay£250 towards the repair. (It wasn’t covered by the warranty) then its took a further 3 weeks of badging using 8 different phones as he wouldn’t answer my calls!!! I finally got the money after telling him he had an obligation under the sales of goods act to pay… It still took 7 more days to hit my account…… Now I have got more issues with the van, a wheel bearing has failed and the hand brake light on the dash isn’t coming on, the wiper motor needs replacing and the back door handle won’t work…. Plus some brake pipes need replacing and discs and pads need replacing, I can except the last two as it’s a used van, but I have now received a letter from the warranty company informing me that the policy has now been cancelled as the supplying dealer hasn’t made payment!!! And would you believe it he’s not answering his phone, yet still has lots of vans (VW included) on eBay motors for sale…. So no warranty and still no service history and now I’ll be at least £1k out of pocket for repairs in only 3 months. I just hope someone who was going to buy one of his vans thinks twice after reading this. Thanks Derek

The warranty didn't cover the injectors as they are a known fault on Vauxhall vivaros and like already mentioned they can fail at any time[/i]

As we all know, a warranty on a second hand vehicle is a insurance policy purchased from a 3rd party. In 20+yrs of the motor trade I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PARTICULAR ITEM ON A SPECIFIC MODEL OF VEHICLE EXCLUDED on a warranty document.

I would love to see where this warranty specifically excludes the injectors from cover.
