I'm no fan of Boris but he can speak in complete sentences. He actually makes sense when talking, isn't a convicted felon and didn't incite acts of violence when booted out of office. Finally his hair, although mad, doesn't have a patch on whatever the **** is happening with Donald.
I've also watched enough The Good Liars to know that America has a larger percentage of utterly batshit insane people than we have. So I therefore think there's still a huge gap between the US and the UK.

That'll be the message that Musk will be pumping out via his propaganda channel. It's very concerning how much he's influenced things in this election - algorithms to boost his posts, hide or delete critical accounts, disinformation campaigns against Harris, bot farms to post pro-Trump messages...
All it'll need to create another Jan 6th is a few posts saying that the election was stolen from them and there'll be riots.
Trump essentially got away with that last time. Dangerous times.
That is 100% the game plan, rural counties tend to be easier and quicker to count so they tend to declare first which means at some point early it's very likely that Trump will look like he's ahead in the swing states regardless of what the final result is.
This happened in 2020.
Trump's game plan is 100% going to be to declare victory at that point, have his message amplified by Musk and his media outriders and then call everything that comes afterwards as fraud.

You also have to remember the quite frankly batshit mental American process for 'declaring states'. There is no official standing up and saying what the official count is. There will be an official pronouncement from each state but not for weeks. It's just left to the news networks to race to 'call' each state before the other news networks. And if course, news networks are completely above political pressure and manipulation......

Not as the law stands, you get 2 terms max regardless of whether or not they're concurrent.
However, once he's stuffed SCOTUS with 2 or 3 more of his cronies, who knows what he'll be able to get away with.
The 2 term rule doesn't stop this circus again in 4 years if he looses again.

Under the current laws it would be only 4 years… but laws can be changed
That law is the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution. It can be changed, but it's extremely difficult to amend the constitution. You either need a 2/3 majority in both houses of Congress or 2/3 of the state legislatures to support an amendment. There's zero chance of getting it through Congress so you would need MAGA majorities in the legislatures of 34 states to get it ratified. Very unlikely.
Trump will immediately state that Ukraine is a European problem and pass the financial burden onto the EU/UK etc.
And in doing so will very likely cost jobs at the US arms manufacturers who produce the weapons being supplied to Ukraine, whilst blaming anyone but himself

Unfortunately, the rest of the world doesn't have that choice - the US is a G7 member, NATO, World Bank, United Nations, and what must be dozens, if not hundreds of other organisations.

It's one of life's cruel ironies that an unhealthy tub of lard like tump can live until he's 90 whilst someone like sir chris gets struck down with terminal illness in middle age.

I've been a bit puzzled for a while at the Republican opposition to supplying military aid to Ukraine as it seems to be mainly on the grounds of cost to the US taxpayers. Many of them seem to think the Biden administration is simply giving billions of dollars to the Ukrainian government to spend on whatever they want, in reality it's being spent at American arms manufacturers and supporting skilled well paid jobs across the country
